Science is exciting! We will learn about the things that we can see, observe and understand in God’s world around us. During the 3rd – 5th grade years, we will learn about our nervous system, five senses, plant life, vertebrates, invertebrates. We will explore Ocean, Pond, Desert and Farm Life. We will also study the weather and the science behind it. We will be studying plant life, birds, cloud formations and rocks. We will learn how to use field guides. We will study the causes of weather, the design of the starry heavens, the ecology of the ocean and many other aspects of God’s creative world. As a class, we will explore and learn many things through hands on activities and experiments. Science is an exciting subject which offers many opportunities for learning in different ways. We will have at least one science project during each semester.
Health is also a large part of our Science curriculum. In Health, we will study the body that God has given each of us. Students will be encouraged to practice good health, safety, and manners habits each day. |
