Once a love for learning has been instilled in each child, it is the elementary years where this love is expanded and new horizons begin to appear.  Children in first grade through fifth grade are changing daily as they discover more about themselves and the world around them.  During this time, students are taught that they have a purpose and it is up to them to develop all areas to become the person God wants them to be to fulfill His call on their lives.  As these changes occur it is the goal of Covenant’s administration and faculty to provide an environment that supports these changes and give direction.  Daily Bible lessons, weekly planned chapels, student led service projects, and life’s daily lessons give the students insight into the nature and character of God.  They also teach students to discover who they are in Christ and what God’s will is for their life.

Core academic areas at Covenant meet or exceed national and state standards.  Mathematics, language arts, science, and history are taught from the stand that every subject is interrelated to each other and that they all provide insight into God’s plan for His children.  Elementary students also participate in computer, visual art, music, physical education, and Spanish classes to explore different disciplines to discover their God-given talents.
In all areas, students are challenged to continue in their quest for knowledge and love of learning.  It is the goal of Covenant’s administration and faculty to provide an academic and spiritual foundation in the elementary years that will facilitate a smooth transition into middle school and beyond.
