History is interesting and intriguing in 3rd – 5th grade.
In 3rd Grade we will learn about 21 Americans who played a notable role in the story of our country. We will study the location of the 7 continents and 4 oceans, along with the 50 states. We will begin to use basic map skills as well as have opportunities for hands on learning as we see how it might have been to live when the people we are studying about did. We will write at least one report as part of our History class.
In 4th grade, we will study the History of the United States. We will learn about well-known historical American documents, geographical locations and about our state’s history. We will complete a State notebook on Georgia and write at least one report as part of our History class. There will be opportunities for hands on learning as we see how it might have been to live when the people we are studying about did.
During 5th grade, we will be studying the many places and areas of geography God has created. We will learn about the geographical regions, the animals, people and cultures of the world. There will be opportunities for hands on learning as we see how it might have been to live where in the different areas of the world. |
