The Elementary Chorus consists of 4th-5th graders. We build upon the skills learned in General Music and we take it to the next level. Students learn the importance of good posture, proper technique, warm-ups and other valuable terms and strategies.
The Middle School Chorus consists of 6th-8th graders. Vocal students are introduced to more advanced music and music theory. They gain an appreciation for different styles of music.
The High School Chorus consists of 9th-12th graders. Vocal students continue to perfect their training. They study vocal anatomy, the study of solo vocal principles and music theory. Students are exposed to a greater variety of music. Students who concentrate in the fine arts throughout their high school career will receive a fine arts cord at graduation.
All chorus classes perform in concert throughout the year. |
