Happy 60th Birthday, Mrs. McKinnon!
How do you say “happy birthday” to someone very special?
The students, families and staff of Covenant celebrated the 60th birthday of our Founder and Head Administrator Mrs. Emmaline McKinnon on Thursday 
morning, September 13th, 2007 in a huge school-wide celebration. The families and staff of Covenant wanted to express their love and appreciation for Mrs. McKinnon on this special day, so over several weeks prior to the birthday celebration they secretly donated funds to purchase her a new car. During the birthday celebration all of the students presented Mrs. McKinnon with her new car, a 2007 Chevrolet Trailblazer. Mrs. McKinnon was so overwhelmed and completely surprised. What a blessing to be able to give back to someone who has given so much.
Mrs. McKinnon, a champion of Christian education, founded Covenant Christian Academy (along with her husband Mr. Joseph McKinnon) in 1994. Her God-given vision for a quality Christian school in the Walton and Gwinnett area has blossomed and become a strong and vibrant Christian school of excellence. Through the vision, dedication, and sacrifice of Mrs. McKinnon, hundreds of families have been blessed and continue to be blessed through the ministry of Covenant Christian Academy.
